The Idea of Existentialism in The Stranger :: Literary Analysis, Albert Camus
Existentialism is defined as a philosophical theory or approach that emphasizes the existence of the individual person as a free and responsible agent determining his or her own development through acts of the pass on. In other words, existentialism it emphasizes individual freedom. Throughout The Stranger, the amount of existentialism views is abundant. The use of Mersaults experiences covey the idea that human life has no inwardness except for simple existence. The idea of existentialism in Albert Camus The Stranger reflects through Mersaults life experiences with his relationship with Marie, the death of his mother Maman, the murdering of the Arab, and Mersaults trial and execution, all these events show that Mersaults life of no meaning. The death of Maman in The Stranger conveys an example of existentialism. The phlegmatic and unattached response to the death of his mother shows an excellent example of Mersaults existentialism he accepts life or death without looking for a deep er significance. Mersault receives a telegram from the home notifying him of his mothers death, Maman died today. Or yesterday maybe, I dont know. I got a telegram from the home Mother Deceased. Funeral Tomorrow. Faithfully yours.(Camus 3). When he gets to the home he does not even want to see the body, instead of mourning he sits back and relaxes drinking coffee and smoking. Mersault seems more concerned about taking time off of work to go to his mothers funeral that he has cryptograph to do with, than the actual death of his mother. The first thought of his day is about work, As I was waking up, it came to me why my boss had seemed annoyed when I asked him for ii days off(Camus 19). Mersault does not show any emotion at all while at the nursing home that Maman lived. He is just at that place because he feels as if he has to be. Everything about the weekend seems to annoy him events like the vigil, the funeral, and some Mamans friends, in particular to the sobbing woman at the v igil. some other aspect of the existentialism portrayed in The Stranger is that Mersault focuses mainly on physical sensations with his relationship with Marie. Mersault believes that life has no meaning other than existence itself so what is the purpose to love? He does nothing more than think of Maries physical features like her hair, smile, skin, and laughter. Mersault runs into Marie on his way to the beach for a swim and curtly after he already describes her physical attributes, I helped her onto a float as I did, I brushed against her breasts(Camus 19).

Sex Education in Schools Essay -- Teaching Education
Sex Education in Schools Sex education in schools now seems to be more and more of a controversial issue. People are arguing over what the curriculum should be in sex education, if it should be taught in schools or at home by parents and the main point of this paper if sex education is actually doing what it was set out to do. The idea behind this paper is to determine if sex education in schools really does keep down the amount of teens with STDs or who become great(predicate). The definition of sex education according to SIECUS (2002) Sexuality education is alifelong process of acquiring information and forming attitudes, beliefs, and values. Itencompasses sexual development, reproductive health, interpersonal relationships, affection, intimacy, body image, and gender roles. Sex education discusses important aspects of reproduction, sexuality, and just growing up in general in a physical and emotional sense. One would have to wonder though does sex education actually serve its purpose? Does it light teens enough about sex and the consequences, to the point where you can actually tell the difference between those who are sexually educated and those who are not? check to a study done bye Coyle (1999) sex education no matter where, at home or in school, and no matter the design does indeed help decrease the amount of teens having unsafe sex. Based on information from that same study about 3 million teenagers a class get an STD, and roughly 10% of adolescent females ages 15-19 get pregnant every year unintentionally. In an article from The Alan Guttmacher Institute (1999) there has been a 20% slabber in female pregnancies between n 1990 and 1997 and the drop has continued, they have stated that the reason for this i... ...ow that sex education does indeed decrease the amount of teens who become pregnant and contract STDs. There are a lot of people who choose to ignore statistics which state that they themselves and their children are at risk of gettin g a affection which would change their lives forever, or ignore the idea that their child could be having sex, and young teens who dont believe they can get pregnant the first age having sex. Sex education informs and is an important part of a curriculum, just as much as Math and English, because an education is harder to get if you have a mess up or if you spend a lot of time in the doctors office. Life is by no means over if a complaint is contracted or if a baby is born, but it is defiantly life altering and it is by farbetter to know and be able to comfort yourself than it is to be sheltered from what a few people could find profane.

CHAPTER II VIOLATION OF PANCASILA 2. 1 The IssueReligious personnel is not talking about good violence or the type of violence which is allowed by the religion. It talks about the violence accomplishment that bring such name of religion to attack other belief or religion. The head of Setara Institute for Democracy and Peace, Hendardi stated that within the last three years, the violence that bring the name of religion happened frequently, even more frequent than before. From the beginning of 2010, 27th of April, thousands of people attacked Yayasan Badan Pendidikan Kristen (BPK) complex at Cisarua, Bogor. Not less than six buildings was burnt. Then, on 1st of October, a thousand people invaded Ahmadiyah area at Cisalada, Ciampea, Bogor and stony-broke six buildings. On twelfth of September in the same year, Christian community of HKBP Pondok Timur Indah Church was attacked when they were going to do the servic e. A preacher was also being stabbed by the attacker. The violence was not ended at 2010, entering 2011, on 6th of February, a thousand of people attacked Ahmadiyah Cikeusik, Pandeglang. Three Ahmadiyah people was died in this incident. Two days after that on that point were some people broke and burnt three churches and one Catholic cultivate at Temanggung, Central Java. Those violence causes death of some people and a big losses for some parties. That sacred violence is easily published by the media. Even in one media, there is one Indonesian who live in Cairo, Egypt, state his cynical thought, That is Indonesia which is never reach maturity stage. Other countries are trying to get out from the cage of primordialism but we still anticipate the same. It shows that ghostly violence in Indonesia is also heard by other countries or even by the whole world. One aspect that recently happened is the case on Temanggung, Central Java. That chaos happened after the judge verdicts 5-yea r punishment in jail to Antonius Richmon Bawengan who is judged as a person who insult other religion. Right after the decision of the judge come out, the mass on the court altogether destroy the buildings (three churches and one Catholic school), break the glass and other facilities there. Those violence has caused great chaotic in Temanggung. Some roads must be closed due to the barbaric put through of the mass. It also causes great loss to some parties. The reason for that religious violence is mass disappointment because of the judge decision. They speak up the punishment is too small for the person who insults religion. Actually, there is another happening before that religious violence happens. On 3rd of October 2010, Antonius Richmon stayed at his relatives house in Kenalan village, Temanggung, Central Java. On that day, Antonius spread some books, that contain some tilt that were considered as humiliation for the Moslem, to the Moslem mass around him. That is why the mass in that village were disturbed by his action and decided to arrest him since twenty-sixth of October 2010.The oddity in this case is most of the mass that was doing the violence were coming from outside Temanggung. The secretary of Forum Kerukunan Umat Beragama (The Harmony of Religion), Djundardo, said Most of the mass that do the violence was coming from outside Temanggung because, basicaly, Temanggung has good harmony in inter-religion interactions. 2. 2 Analysis based on principles of Pancasila This case has violated several principle of Pancasila which must be our base in everything people do in this country. For the most, it totally violates the root principle Belief in the one and only God.This principle does not mean that all of Indonesian must check one religion. Indonesia acknowledges five religions before and six religions for now. It means that this principle encourage the entire citizen to detect other religion and belief. It says one and only God to emphasize that we have one goal, one destination, and one same point at the last so the one that makes each religion different is the way to reach that goals. The former of Pancasila already thought about it carefully. They just wanted all citizens can have good harmony just like a big family, even though there is diverse religion and belief in it.Unfortunately, the fact, nowadays, is really parentage with the Pancasilas former expectation. If we see the religious violence, it shows that there is lack of respect to other religion. They tend to defend their own religion by violence. They think that their religion is the best and because of that they lose the harmony of inter-religion relationship which is expected by the former from the first principle. The people who do violence forget about the first principle that said about the one and only God which means unity in one God.The principle means the last destination of each religion is one and only God who loves all people who believe on Him, so people do not have any right to judge which religion is the best among others. Besides that, none of the religion that tells people to solve problems with violence actions. If there is some people who do violence action and bring the name of religion, it means those people are not respect their own religion and God. That is why, this violence which attack other religion has considered as impingement the first principle of Pancasila.Besides that, religious violence also violates second principle of Pancasila Just and civilized humanity because it harm so many peoples life. Civilized humanity delimitates the society that can treat the people who live there fairly, are polite and behave in a calm and intelligent way. The violence is a contrast action of civilized humanity. It shows that the mass, that kill other people, break others properties, and even obstruct others religion, imply impoliteness and barbarian behavior. It totally do not implement the second principle of Pancasila. Those actions also violate the third principle of Pancasila The unity of Indonesia because those actions can trigger any disunity among the citizen of Indonesia. Basically, unity never means all people must in the same thought, same condition, or same choice. Unity can be reached when we can respect others thought, condition and choice to reach one goal also when we can harmonize that diversity and, the most important, has the sense of belong to all of the member. In this religious violence, we cannot see the sense of belonging of those people or even their effort to respect others belief. They try to attack others because they think that religion is not appropriate to exist and be believed there. At the last, religious violence can be counted as violation of the fifth principle Social justice for the whole of the people of Indonesia. It violates this principle due to the closing of some churches which is unfair for the Christians who live kindly and nicely to the society. In this pr inciple, the former said for the whole of people of Indonesia not for several people which means there must be no discrimination to get social justice.People should not judge a religion based on one-man action which does not describe the characteristic the whole of people who taking up that religion. 2. 3 Solutions Government need to remember and understand deeply about our Constitution. We must realize that we are in the democratic country, not an authoritative one. It means that we must respect others thought and belief we cannot force others to have the same thought and belief with us. If we can realize it, hopefully, our country can be calmer and has harmonious inter-religion life. Government also needs to be strict in law to cope this issue. It is not only in law but also in its implementation. If someone harms others life, especially with harassment, it must be considered as a crime and he/ she must be arrested based on the law. Government need to repair their mind to do their work to serve the whole citizen wholehearted and fairly. Besides all of that, we also can start to resolve the issue by ourselves. We must learn to respect others belief and not judge a society by one-man action only. We must try to open our mind to the diversity around us and share our knowledge to the people who still lack of this awareness. We also need to socialize with all people in our society, not only people who have same belief or interest with us. CHAPTER III CONCLUSION Indonesia is a country which established with a strong state philosophy which is called Pancasila. Pancasila consists of five basic principles which already covers all aspects in countrys life. The principles include the belief, humanity, unity, democracy, and justice. Those principles are called as state philosophy because those five principles are the fundamental principle to run the country. It means every single thing which is done in and for the country must agree with Pancasila. On the other hand, if we see the reality nowadays, there is some violation in regards of Pancasila. One kind of the violation is religious violence, which means some violence action which brings a name of religion. This issue becomes more frequent lately. The last case is in Temanggung where there are three churches and a Catholic school were destroyed by the mass which bring the name of Islam. That violence had caused chaotic and terrified situation in Temanggung because the mass was looked so brutal. This case has totally broke the first principle of Pancasila which said belief in one and only God.

Some J-1 students may have a two-year home plain residence requirement, which prevents them from continuing employment with an H-1B visa (see below) after academic training, unless the requirement is waived. Worker Visas for Long Term EmploymentH-1B Temporary Worker VisaOnce a period of Optional Practical Training or Academic Training is completed, Federal regulations require that employment b e terminated. However, graduates may continue their employment if the USCIS approves a change in visa type to H-1B Temporary Worker, the most common type of work visa. There is a quota of how many H-1B Visas can be granted per fiscal year (between October 1 and September 31). Some non-profit research institutions and universities are exempt.H-1B Visa holders must be sponsored by their current or prospective employer, and the position must be a professional one. The sponsoring organization petitions the USCIS and the Department of Labor for the H1B, which can take 4-6 months before the employees new immigration status is granted. Employees cannot change companies without jeopardizing their visa status, and the visa ends when employment with that company ends, or after six years, whichever is shorter. Finding an EmployerAmerican employers often see international students as assets, as they possess both multicultural and multilingual skills, and an education from a US institution. Additi onally, when they hire a foreign national with a student visa, organizations are not required to prove that there is no American available for the position (which they have to do with green cards). However, some employers are reluctant to interview F-1 Visa holders because they know their worker will have to leave in one year, unless the employer is willing to sponsor a change to H-1B Visa status. Asn report
Materials and products must be inspected to assure that the quality characteristics conform to requirements. review whitethorn occur as the product is being produced, at final superintendence on completed product at the producer, or at receiving critical review at the consumer. There are three ways that a messiness of N quantity may be Inspected complete Inspection of the lot, no Inspection of the lot, or a partial watch of the lot. Complete inspection of the lot, referred to as 100% inspection, can be extremely time consuming, and as such expensive. 0% inspection should be reserved for those situations where even a single defect is associated with unacceptable risk, as in medical or aerospace applications. 100% inspection may also be necessary if there is reason to believe that the lot is of particularly low quality, or if no information is available to estimate the lot quality. No inspection of the lot, or 0% inspection, is the ideal inspection aim from a financial view, as there is no cost added. However, 0% inspection Is risky, as even one bad lot of material can have a significant monetary impact, easily erasing any savings realised from the lack of Inspection.Regard slight, certain situations do lend themselves to Inspection. The material may be so Inexpensive, Like a screw or nut, that there Is no vindication for Inspection. Or there may be sufficient statistical and/or historical evidence that the lot bequeath meet the required quality level that inspection is unwarranted. A partial inspection of the lot, called sample inspection, provides an alternative to the extremes of 100% or 0% inspection, and is the most common method of lot inspection. Sample inspection Lana typically use statistically derived tables from a know standard, such as the ubiquitous IEEE military standard. These sampling plans allow for the selection of an Acceptable Quality aim (SQL) with a corresponding sample size (n) based on lot size (N). The inspector then uses the sp ecified acceptance number (c) and rejection number (d or r) to decide if the lot should be accepted or rejected, called sentencing the lot. The lot Is accepted and considered of adequate quality when the number of Identified defects In the sample is less than or equal to the acceptance number otherwise the lot Is rejected. A refinement to single sampling plans, where a single sample is used for lot sentencing, is a double sampling plan.Instead of a single sample (ml), a second sample size (no) is also defined by the selected plan, as well as a second set of acceptance and rejection numbers (ca and do). If the number of defects identified in the first sample is less than CLC, the lot is accepted if the defects are greater than ca, the lot is rejected. If the number of defects is greater than CLC, but less than or equal to ca, a second sample is drawn. If the sum of the defects identified in both samples is less than or equal to ca, the lot is accepted, if the sum is greater than ca, the lot Is rejected.Double sampling plans can be psychological appealing, with a perceived second chance for evaluate a lot. The reality Is that no such advantage exists, as both single and double sampling plans are designed to provide similar probables for judge or rejecting lots of Identical quality. The actual advantage of double sampling plans over single sampling plans Is found In the sampling plan will always have a lower ASSN then a single sampling plan the inspection took less time and so cost less.

The disadvantage of having the same person performing multiple activities is having in a process increases if one person has the opportunity to control more then one step of the process. This risk is even more if the person controls consecutive steps because there is no intermediary to check that the steps are not manipulated for personalized gains. The separation of duties activity aims to minimize risk by separating the steps of a process in such a way that different person are recording transactions, authorizing them and maintaining custody of assets.See more Sleep Deprivation Problem Solution Speech EssayThe line draws when it comes down to what I thin is duty for a company. Greed in Macbeth Essay
The temper of humanity always forces individuals to choose between right and wrong. Sometimes, there is conflict between personal desires and object lesson decisions. In the play Macbeth, William Shakespeare illustrates humankind as dark and immoral. He displays the negative side of human disposition with three of the main characters. First of all, Banquo who appears to be noble but succumbs to his desires. Secondly, Lady Macbeth reveals ambition that leads her to destruction. Lastly, Macbeth becomes engulfed in greed that leads to wretched deeds. Thus, Shakespeare emphasizes that greed overrules human kindness in human nature.Banquo reveals avariciousness in quest of his desires. He reveals his outgrowth cupidity when he hears Macbeths prophecies by the weird sisters. Banquo states (AS BANQUO SAYS TO ..) My noble partner/You greet with personate grace and great prediction/Of noble having and of royal hope,/That he seems rapt withalspeak then to me, who neither petition nor fear/Your favours nor your hate. (I,iii,55-62). Banquo, who appears to be a noble man, withal displays his greed by wanting to receive a great prediction just like Macbeth. Banquo also reveals his overriding by committing the sin of omission. After the blackwash of Duncan, Banquo talks to himself As the weird women promisedIf there come truth from them/As upon thee, Macbeth, their speeches shine/Why, by the verties on thee made good,/May they be my oracles as well/And set me up in hope? (III,i,2-10).Banquo does non reveal the secret of the prophecies and his suspicion al to the highest degree Macbeth because Banquo believes that his prophecy will non come true if he exposes this secret information. Banquo did not act upon his greed, but his greediness of keeping secrets of the prophecies leads him to his death. Moreover, a promise between Macbeth and Banquo, lolly Banquo from exposing their secrets. After hearing the news about their future, Macbeth says to ( ) If you shall cl eave to my consent, when tis/It shall make honour for you (II,i,30-31). Since Macbeth promises to honor him, it makes it harder for Banquo to reveal the secret. on that point are some good qualities but also bad qualities in human nature that leads to a downfall. In addition to Banquo, Shakespeare illustrates much stronger greed in Lady Macbeth. After hearing the news about the prophecies, Lady Macbeth revealsher imperial ambitions. The raven himself is hoarse/That croaks the fatal entrance of Duncan/Under my battlement. Come, you sprits/That tend on deathlike thoughts Unsex me here,/And fill me from the crown to the toe top full/Of direst cruelty make thick my derivation (I,v,36-41). Through Lady Macbeth, Shakespeare shows the powerful figure of a female character normally recognized as kind and obedient during this time. However, Macbeth ( no underline) presents a dark image of a female character that becomes sin in her desires for the future. Furthermore, Lady Macbeth convince s her husband to act upon his desire and his fate. As she knows Macbeth does not have the will to actively pursue the throne, she manipulates him Was the hope drunkFrom this time/Such I account thy love.Art thou afeard/To be the same in thine own act and valour/As thou esteemst the ornament of life,/And live a coward in thine own esteem,/Letting I dare not wait upon I would,/Like the myopic cat I the adage? (I,vii,35-44). Not only does Lady Macbeth carry out her own role, she also goads Macbeth into action to accomplish her desire. Lady Macbeths natural humanity is displayed when she is not able to kill Duncan herself because he resembles her father. This illustrates that she is toilsome to suppress her human nature and allow her ambition to rule. However, even after reaching her achieved end, she is discontent throughout the rest of the play. Lady Macbeth expresses her feelings, but not to Macbeth Noughts had, alls spent./Where our desire is got without content/Tis safter to be t hat which we destroy/Than by destruction, bulk large in doubtful joy./Macbeth enterswhy do you keep alone,/Of sorriest fancies your companions makingwhats done is done. (III,ii,6-14). Even with her dissatisfaction, she keeps her emotion herself in give to keep her throne. The greed in human nature is so strong that it can overtake morality. Finally, and for the most significantly, Lady Macbeth encourages Macbeth to act upon his greed, and abandon his morals. Shakespeare illustrates Macbeth as evil from the beginning of the play. In his first entrance, he expresses his feelings of the twenty-four hours by saying So foul and fair a day I have not seen. (I,iii,39). Since Macbeth believes that good is bad and bad is good, his ambition overtakes his virtuousness. Therefore, Shakespeare illustrates that humans can exemplify both good and evil. In addition, Macbeth reveals his desire to kill King Duncan when he is left alone in his chamber. I have notspur/To prick the sides of my intent, but only/Vaulting ambition, which oerleaps itself/And falls on the other. (I,vii,25-28). Macbeths values are shown through his speech as he expresses abhorrence for killing Duncan.Lady Macbeth convinces her husband which leads him to act upon his deed. Later, Macbeth kills Banquo because of acquisitiveness. Macbeth feels insecure because of Banquos prophecies When first they put the name of king upon me,/And bade them speak to him then prophet-like/They haild his father to a line of kings/Upon my mental capacity they placed a fruitless crown,/And put a barren scepter in my gripe,/Thence to be when chd with an unlined hand,/No son of mine succeeding. (III,i,62-68). Macbeth betrays his friendship because he believes that he had committed a horrible deed not for his descendants, but for Banquos. Even though Banquo had been so kind and loyal to him, Macbeth kills him to prevent Banquos son from gaining the throne he has killed for. When once greed overrules humanity, it will continue to control and force them to make florescence decisions.Throughout the play, Shakespeare presents a dark side of human nature, with greed and ambition overcoming morality. First, by exemplifying Banquos voraciousness in order for his heirs to inherit the throne, Shakespeare establishes immorality through omission. Secondly, Lady Macbeths ambition overtakes her, and instead of supporting her husband, she pushes him to evil. Finally, Macbeth allows his goal and desires to control his life and lead him to a betrayal of Duncan, Banquo, and his own morality.Shakespeare, William. Book by Harold Bloom. Additionally, Beazer Homes ignored inco me requirements when making loans to unqualified purchasers, which not only jell the purchaser in jeopardy of having the income needed to make their ayments, but in the event of default or foreclosure, it can have a significant impact on the home values of the neighborhood.
